The problem

The management company was paying a plumber to cable the same common line every few months and charging it to the operating budget as an emergency each time. Residents in four units bore the disruption. No one had documented why it kept happening.

Our approach

1. 1Scoped the common line first so the board could see the cause instead of paying for another blind cabling call
2. 2Cut roots mechanically, then hydro-jetted the full 90 ft run back to the pipe wall
3. 3Mapped the two mature trees over the affected joints so the recurrence had an explanation on paper
4. 4Ran a verification scope the same visit and set a monitored annual interval from the observed regrowth rate

The problem

An engineering firm was designing a tenant conversion in an older warehouse and needed to know whether the existing under-slab sanitary could carry the new use. The as-builts were incomplete and the demo package was already out for pricing.

Our approach

1. 1Inspected the under-slab sanitary before the demo package was priced, not after award
2. 2Measured standing water depth at each sag as a percentage of diameter so the design team could judge capacity
3. 3Sonde-mapped full alignment and depth and paint-marked the run on the slab
4. 4Delivered a corrected as-built with the video so the design and demo scopes matched the real pipe

The problem

A high-volume kitchen was days from a health inspection with a floor drain that would not clear. The operator had already replaced fixtures inside the building on the assumption the problem was upstream of the slab.

Our approach

1. 1Responded same day given the pending health inspection and scoped before selling any work
2. 2Jetted the kitchen line back to bare cast iron and cleared the submerged interceptor outlet tee
3. 3Confirmed on camera that the cast iron was sound, ending the fixture replacement theory
4. 4Set the pump-out and jetting interval from measured grease loading and left the video on file for the inspector
