  • Old clay lateral in Hyde Park, roots at every joint. They jetted it, ran the camera, and gave us a clean PACP-coded report the City accepted for the tap permit. No back-and-forth.

  • Called on a Sunday for a break-room backup at our Tarrytown office. Tech was out in under two hours, cleared the line, and left a video log we could send to the plumber. Worth every dollar.

CCTV Inspection FAQ

Frequently asked

What pipe sizes can you inspect?

Our camera equipment covers small laterals through large-diameter sanitary sewer and storm mains. Share the diameter, footage and access points and we'll confirm the right rig for the job.

Do you provide NASSCO-based reporting?

Yes. NASSCO-based coding, defect logs and project-specific reporting formats can be provided when specified by the owner, engineer or municipal reviewer.

Can you inspect new construction before acceptance?

That is one of our most common projects. We help contractors identify construction debris, damaged pipe, improper connections, standing water and alignment issues in time to correct and reinspect before the final deadline.

What if the line needs cleaning before inspection?

Our vac trucks and jetting equipment prepare the line first. After cleaning, we complete the inspection and can perform a second run to verify the final condition.

What deliverables do I receive after a CCTV inspection?

Recorded MPEG/MP4 video, still images of every observed defect, a distance-stamped defect log, a written summary and - when specified - NASSCO-coded reporting. Files are delivered by secure download or on physical media if your municipality requires it.

How long does a typical CCTV inspection take?

A single lateral takes 30-60 minutes. Full sanitary or storm mains on a mid-sized commercial site run half a day to a full day depending on footage, cleaning needs and access. We'll give you a realistic window when we quote it, not an optimistic one.

Do you inspect storm drain and culvert systems, or just sanitary sewer?

Both. We run CCTV on sanitary sewer mains and laterals, storm drain systems, culverts, roof-drain leaders and any underground pipe we can access. If a crawler physically fits, we can inspect it.

Can you locate a defect exactly so my repair crew doesn't dig up the wrong spot?

Yes. Every defect is distance-logged from the access point and, when needed, we surface-mark the exact location with a sonde and locator so your excavation crew hits it on the first pass.

Will you inspect a line I already had someone else camera?

Absolutely - second-opinion inspections are a routine ask, especially on pre-purchase and warranty disputes. You get an independent report with the video to back it up.

What does a CCTV inspection cost?

Pricing depends on footage, pipe size, access, cleaning requirements and reporting format. Send plans, an address or a scope description and we'll return a firm, itemized quote - no vague hourly ranges.

Can you show a documented cctv inspection job with measurable results?

Yes. Our Austin job "Offset clay joint under a live East Austin loading dock" is published in full at /case-studies/austin-east-clay-lateral, including footage inspected 184 ft, defects coded 7, report delivered same day, the PACP codes we logged, and before and after camera stills. Defect sonde-located and paint-marked on the surface, so the repair crew dug one 8 ft pit instead of trenching the full run.

How do I know your cctv inspection findings will hold up with an owner or reviewer?

Every observation is coded to NASSCO PACP standards and delivered with the HD video, footage marks, and a written summary, so the owner's rep, engineer, or municipal reviewer can check the call against the footage instead of taking our word for it. NASSCO/PACP certified operators, 25+ years in Central Texas pipe work, and full commercial and municipal insurance with COIs issued the same day.

How fast do you deliver the cctv inspection report after the crew leaves?

Standard turnaround is same day for the video and next business day for the PACP-coded written report. On the documented Austin job the report went out same day, which is why the client could price the repair without a second mobilization.

What do commercial clients say about your cctv inspection work?

The reviews on this page come from general contractors, property managers, and municipal staff who hired us for cctv inspection, averaging 5.0 out of 5 across 14 published reviews. Each one names the role and the type of job so you can judge whether it matches your site.

Do you provide cctv inspection in Austin and the surrounding cities?

Yes. CCTV Pipeline Inspection is one of our core commercial services across Austin and the metro, including Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Leander. We run out of Cedar Park and cover roughly a 100 mile radius of Austin, so crews reach most Travis, Williamson, and Hays County sites the same week and often the same day for emergencies.

How fast can a cctv inspection crew mobilize to an Austin site?

Most Austin jobs are scheduled within one to three business days, with emergency mobilization available for active backups or shutdowns. Austin is about 20 miles from our yard, and neighboring cities such as Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park are typically same-day reachable. Call (737) 618-0219 and we will confirm a window before you commit.

Can you handle traffic control and permits for cctv inspection in Austin rights-of-way?

Yes. For work in Austin streets, alleys, and public easements we coordinate traffic control, provide certificates of insurance, and document the work so the City reviewer, the GC, or the owner's engineer can accept it. The same process applies in Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown and other Central Texas jurisdictions we work in weekly.

Will your cctv inspection reports be accepted by Central Texas municipalities?

Yes. Deliverables are NASSCO PACP coded with HD video, footage marks, still images, and a written summary, which is the format Austin area public works departments, engineers, and general contractors expect. We have delivered accepted reports across Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Pflugerville and the wider Central Texas market.
